Mother's Day Card 2016

I started this card by first making the butterfly. I used Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy inks. I cut out a piece of white paper just big enough for my Stampin' Up! butterfly thinlit and then sponged streaks of Cherry Cobbler ink, followed my Night Of Navy ink. I made sure to overlap the Night of Navy over the Cherry Cobbler to give it some purple tints. I then set the butterfly to the side to dry up a bit before cutting it out.

Next I took the white 4 x 3 sheet and stamped the wreath using Mossy Meadow ink. For the "You're Fabulous" and the flower, I used Mossy Meadow ink on the "You're Fabulous" and colored in the flower using a Stampin' Write Markers in Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke before stamping it to the card.

For the inside I stamped Happy Mother's Day in Mossy Meadow and then colored only the flowers from the "You're Fabulous" stamp in with the Stampin' Write Markers and then stamped it over the Happy Mother's Day. I pretty much lined the flower up with the "Happy" and then moved it up a bit so that I knew it was in alignment around the "Happy Mother's Day".

I colored in the wreath using stampin write pens in Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Elegant Eggplant

I used mono to attach White sheet to Night of Navy and then used more mono to attach that to White card. I then cut out the butterfly and added some Wink of Stella to the wings to make it glisten. I attached the butterfly to the card using dimensionals.
